Privacy Policy
RestaurantConnect, Inc.
Last updated: August 2026
RestaurantConnect provides reservation and operations software for restaurants — including our host-stand and desktop applications, the TableConnect mobile app, our reservation widgets, and the services behind them (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.
We are a restaurant technology company. We are not a marketplace, an advertising network, or a data broker. We do not sell personal information — anyone's, ever.
The short version
- If you're a restaurant guest, your reservation information belongs to the restaurant you booked with. We process it on that restaurant's behalf so they can serve you. We don't use it to advertise to you, build profiles of you across restaurants, or sell it.
- If you work at a restaurant that uses our Services, we handle your account information so the software works and your employer can manage access.
- If you create a RestaurantConnect diner account, we keep the details you give us so your reservations are easier to manage — and you can ask us about or delete your account at any time.
Information we handle
Guest and reservation information (on behalf of restaurants). When you book with a restaurant that uses RestaurantConnect — through their website, our widget, the restaurant's staff, or a connected booking service — the reservation details (such as your name, phone number, email address, party size, date and time, seating preferences, special-occasion notes, and visit history) are collected and owned by that restaurant. We store and process this information as the restaurant's service provider. The restaurant controls it; questions or requests about it can be directed to the restaurant, and we support restaurants in honoring them.
Diner account information. If you choose to create a RestaurantConnect account, we collect the email address and mobile number you register with, your login credentials, and the preferences you save, so you can manage reservations across participating restaurants.
Restaurant staff account information. For restaurant owners, managers, and staff, we handle names, usernames, work contact details, role and permission levels, and sign-in activity, so the restaurant can run the software and manage who has access.
Messages. The Services send reservation-related text messages and emails (such as confirmations, reminders, and updates) through our communications providers. We keep records of what was sent for reliability, troubleshooting, and the restaurant's records. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply; reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time.
Payment information. Subscription billing for restaurants, and any guest payment features offered by a restaurant, are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers on our systems. Stripe's handling of payment data is described in Stripe's own privacy policy.
Device and app information. The TableConnect app registers your device so it can deliver push notifications you've enabled, and our applications collect basic technical information (such as app version, device type, and error logs) to keep the Services working and secure. We do not track your location.
Website analytics. Our public website may use standard analytics tools to understand how visitors use it. Our applications for restaurants are workplaces, not ad surfaces — they contain no third-party advertising.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate the Services: managing reservations and waitlists, seating and serving guests, sending reservation communications, authenticating users, providing customer support, securing and improving the platform, and meeting legal obligations. Intelligence features (AIRIA) analyze a restaurant's own operational data to help that restaurant run better — they do not combine one restaurant's guest data with another's for cross-restaurant profiling.
What we don't do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not rent or share guest information with advertisers.
- We do not use one restaurant's guest data to benefit another restaurant or any third party.
- We do not send marketing to guests on our own behalf. Any marketing a guest receives comes from the restaurant they have a relationship with, under that restaurant's control.
Sharing
We share information only with: the restaurant a reservation belongs to (and its restaurant group, where applicable); service providers who help us run the platform — cloud hosting (AWS), communications delivery, payment processing (Stripe) — under agreements that limit their use of the data to providing services to us; connected booking channels you choose to book through (for example, if you book a restaurant via a third-party service, that service has the details you gave it); and authorities where the law genuinely requires it. If RestaurantConnect is ever party to a merger or acquisition, this policy's commitments travel with the data.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services and meet the restaurant's operational and legal needs. Our platform uses recoverable deletion: removed records are deactivated and excluded from operation rather than instantly destroyed, protecting restaurants and guests against accidental loss; they are purged on request or per retention schedules. Guests can request access to or deletion of their information through the restaurant they booked with, or by contacting us directly — we will honor verified requests as the law provides.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise them, contact us at the address below (or contact your restaurant, for reservation data they own — we'll support them in responding). We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights.
Security
We protect information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and permission levels within each restaurant, and isolated databases per restaurant group. No system is perfectly secure, but security is engineered into the platform, not appended to it.
Children
The Services are business tools and reservation systems, not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version at this address with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes we'll take reasonable steps to notify restaurants and account holders.
